Those that have the sun sign of Taurus, Virgo, or Capricorn are considered to be in the earth element. Those that fall under this element are typically emotionally grounded and are slow to respond to situations. People associated with the element of earth tend to look before they leap and think about the possibilities of a situation before making a decision. When they do decide to make a change, they are quiet and tenacious.

Those that have the sun signs of Leo, Sagittarius, or Aries fall under the element of fire.  Those that are considered to be in this element tend to have an intense and passionate nature. Unlike those that fall under the earth element, those that are fire elements are quick to make decisions and can be quite impulsive. They tend to be spontaneous and are immensely creative.

Air signs are those that are Gemini, Aquarius, or Libras. Those that fall under the element of air tend to have an extraordinarily high energy about them. These people are remarkably expressive with their feelings and are both fast and extremely enthusiastic. When an air sign expresses their expectations and feelings, they enjoy doing so in an intellectual manner.

Water signs tend to have a vivid imagination, much like those people that fall under the element of fire. Water signs are not spontaneous and impulsive, however. They are much more sensitive about their feelings than people that fall under the other elements. The sun signs that are considered to be under the element of water are Scorpio, Pisces, and Cancer.
